The Planning Program
provides a variety of services to both the internal and external
customers of the City. The Planning and Development Review Divisions
provide research, review and professional analysis and advice on
city-wide development activities to insure compliance with adopted
plans, policies, procedures and ordinances. This program provides
the guidance and review to community decisions on the physical development
of Albuquerque over the next 20 - 30 years.
The
Office of Community & Neighborhood Coordination
serves as the City's liaison with the 300+ neighborhood associations
and assists in development of coalitions of groups and neighborhood
associations.
Albuquerque
Development Services
is the redevelopment agency for the City of Albuquerque. Their role
is to promote and stimulate redevelopment in distressed areas of
Albuquerque. This is accomplished using metropolitan redevelopment
tools and the creation of public/private partnerships.
Albuquerque
Geographic Information Services (AGIS)
maintains and develops an extensive data base of geographic information
for the Albuquerque metropolitan area. They use this data to produce
maps and analytical reports for City departments and the public.
Administration provides
support to all divisions on budget, personnel and internal operations. |
